Poetry written by Harry Kaufman
This poem is one of my favorites. It utilizes a lot of my favorite styles I use in my poetry. One is “Letter Poems” which are poems in the style of a letter addressed to a character. I also used a lot of alliteration, personification, rhymes, comedy, and general wordplay in this which makes it a very fun read. Overall this one is one of my favorites and is very encompassing of a lot of my style.
This poem is a large metaphor of how we tell and retell history. History is currently being made and it is being rewritten for good and bad.
The word like drives me insane when I hear people it too much at school. This poem is a reminder to not use the word like for anyone who overuses it.
Based off an unpleasant school experience.
A comedic poem about a kid’s imagination while playing with grass instead of blocking the goal.
